Like I said, I need some time to compile the questions. I KNOW there are things that can be done in FCP that I can do in Avid, I just don't know how to do them in FCP. So once I show him something, he will recognize what I'm trying to do, then he can tell me what I should do (but in FCP).
It's mainly things like using the keyboard and stuff.
Nesting (it's called collapsing in Avid). Is basically a way to keep the timeline clean from clutter (and over 15 layers of video). Basically if I have a composition that involved 20 layers of video, I select those layers and 'collapse' or 'nest' them into one track. The thing is I don't know how to do that in FCP...

Ok sweet. They're complicated questions, I can only refrence from an Avid at my house (It would look weird trying to do this at school's computers) and it will be me talking to a camera. Basically, I'll say something like "How can I do this [In avid] but instead in FCP" things like nesting.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You said your brother is a FCP editor? I've been working on Avid for quite some time, and there are features that I know FCP has but I just don't know certain tricks because FCP is different from Avid (duh). Is he on pinkbike?
I guess the more important question is, is he open to being asked questions? Some people don't want to be bothered so that's why I ask.
